Though the course of their stay my mother and I made the strangers as comfortable as we could by bringing them food and drink. Our natural curiosity which annoyed most outsiders appeared to be refreshing to the strangers, they seemed to like all the questions we ask. "How are you able to move such stones without lifting a finger?", was one of the first questions I asked; that was the first time I heard of the Force. It was not long before I was helping with the excavation.
One day wale I was helping with the excavation I came across a strange object, when I reach for it the object came to me as if I willed it to my hand. Excited by my finding and fascinated by the object I hurried the artifact to the Togruta who was in charge of the expedition. While I explained the events and told my story of how I found it, the Togruta was looking at me as if he was looking in to my very soul. Before I even finished my story and without saying a word he walked away towards my house.
Hours after I found my self in the living room of my home surrounded by my parents, the Togruta and a Caamasi. The Caamasi did most of the talking, he explained that the item I found was a toy the ancient Jedi Order used to train young ones in the use of the Force and that my parents wanted the best for me which was for me to learn about the Force but they did not want there only child to leave home so young. So they all came to an agreement that I was going to be taught the ways of the Force while they finished the excavation but after they were done with the dig they would leave and I would stay with my parents. I understood, my parents loved me and they did want the best for me but their love also kept them from letting me go.
The dig took 2 years, excavating the old Jedi ruins and training me with the aid of many of the artifacts we found, but before they went off world with all the artifacts the Caamasi “shared” mental images and memories with me, one of those memories included the location of The Library. He told me that when I was of age I would be welcome to come, see and learn. On my 18th birthday I did just that, I don’t think I ever quite fit in with my people anyhow.
The Galactic Explorers Guild
The Library consist of a maze of caverns that was ones a city. It houses Relics, Artifacts, works of art, technology and Knowledge from all over the galaxy. Visiting to conduct research is free to all, but to become a full member takes years of apprenticeship. Full members are called Explorers and have access to secret information such as select Sith and Jedi Holocrons, Force traditions and techniques, dangerous technology and other information that might be hazardous to the general public. The Library was founded by the original members of the Galactic Explorers Guild.
The Galactic Explorers Guild are full members of The Library. All but a small percentage of the Guild are not Force sensitive. They are treasure hunters who are sworn and honor-bound to turn in their discoveries to The Library, which ensures all discoveries, are properly credited to the correct Explorer.
The Force is a very popular topic in the Guild and a subject of friendly though heated debates due to the cultural backgrounds of each of its members. Because of the broad spectrum of the Force, the Order wants its members to share and learn about all traditions but encourages all Force Sensitive members to specialize and focus on one tradition.
The Jedi traditions have such a rich history in the Force that the Explorers cannot help but learn from the old Jedi Order.
The Consular, diplomats of the old Jedi order, while similar to the Explorers in many ways are hardly equipped or willing to crawl through a cave in search of buried treasure. The Guardians are the combat specialists and elite solders of the old Jedi order; the explorers are not going to fight any wars and are rarely in combat but there are some in the Guild that train in Lightsabers and forsake all other teaching, they are few in number and generally stay in The Library perfecting their Lightsabers skills and guarding it’s secrets. The Sentinel was the elite spy of the Jedi, but Explorers have no need to resort to clandestine methods of reconnaissance but there are still those who study this shadowy traditions and dedicate them selfs to hunting the lost knowledge of the ancient Sith.
